Call the police. If the accident occurs in a city that has a Collision Reporting Centre (Toronto, London, Thunder Bay, Barrie, and Orillia) and if the combined damages are below $1,000 it is not necessary to report to the police, but you must drive or tow your car directly to the reporting centre.

Remain at the scene of the accident.

Stay calm and ensure that everyone is okay.

Get immediate help for anyone who is injured. Don't move the injured person unless they are in immediate danger. Try to keep the person warm.

Do not discuss who is responsible or at-fault for the accident.

Do not authorize any repairs to your vehicle until you have spoken with your Zenith claims adjuster.
